Crossroads Newlife Fellowship is an independent nondenominational church established in 1989 by Doug and Jana Cox and others with the purpose of bringing the power and reality of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Evanston and the surrounding area.
The church's name partly came through the words found in Jeremiah 6:16 to "stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your soul".(NIV) Starting in a living room and then moving to a strip mall, Crossroads now owns a large 15,000 square foot reformed bar, full of people who are finding the good way, walking in it and finding rest for their souls.
Crossroads is a place of truth and love. It is a church where the Spirit of God is moving and working in and through people. Many lives have been changed, healed and fortified with a strong foundation of faith over the past decade. Crossroads plans to continue to reach out to people and be as creative as possible in sharing the Gospel, fulfilling the Great Commission the Lord Jesus gave to all believers to go into all the world and preach the gospel.
